Description of Responsibilities.

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on rooms in accordance with established procedures and standards, as per the plans and schedules provided by the Room Supervisor. This may include minor repairs to electrical installations, plumbing, furniture, equipment, and HVAC systems.
  • Keep a detailed record of all maintenance tasks performed, including materials and time spent. Report to your supervisor any problems or damages that require additional attention.
  • Adhere to workplace safety regulations and ensure that all maintenance tasks are performed safely. Comply with hotel policies and procedures at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Rooms Supervisor to ensure maintenance schedules are executed in a timely manner, considering occupancy and priorities.

Required:

  • Previous experience in essential maintenance or repair, preferably in a hotel or similar setting.
  • Ability to carry out maintenance and repair tasks efficiently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in room maintenance.
  • Understand workplace safety procedures.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and improve continuously.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in schedules and operational needs.
  • Attention to detail to ensure rooms are in optimal condition.
  • Basic communication skills to collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments.
  • Previous experience in room maintenance in the hospitality industry.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English communication skills.

Education & Certificates:

  • Secondary education or equivalent. Technical education in maintenance-related areas is a plus.
  • Certifications related to maintenance or repair, such as electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance certificates, are desirable, but not required.
