We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Room Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs to ensure the proper functioning and appearance of guest rooms and common areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
  • Inspect guest rooms and common areas for maintenance issues, such as leaks, malfunctioning equipment, or damaged fixtures.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, prioritizing urgent issues and completing work orders in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and implement solutions to resolve issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to prolong the life of equipment and prevent future problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
  • Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and vendors as needed to complete maintenance projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment storage areas.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
