Position: Teppanyaki Cook
Blue Diamond Resorts is seeking a talented and experienced Teppanyaki Cook to join our team at one of our luxurious resorts. As a Teppanyaki Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious Japanese dishes in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes on the teppanyaki grill, including meats, seafood, and vegetables
- Ensure all dishes are cooked to the highest quality and presentation standards
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders when necessary
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new and innovative menu items
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean working environment
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling procedures
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Teppanyaki Cook in a high-volume restaurant or resort setting
- Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Food safety and sanitation certification is an asset
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
