Contract Details: This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Negril, Jamaica. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing the procurement process for all goods and services required by our resorts. This includes sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing items at the best possible price while maintaining high quality standards. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services - Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices and terms - Review and approve purchase requests from various departments within the resorts - Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of supplies - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels - Conduct regular market research to stay updated on pricing and availability of goods and services - Work closely with the finance department to ensure proper budgeting and cost control - Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in the procurement process - Stay updated on industry trends and new products to make informed purchasing decisions Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the hospitality industry - Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software - Knowledge of inventory management and budgeting - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary If you are a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for procurement and a desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
