Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Italian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in preparing a wide variety of traditional and modern Italian dishes using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Italian Chef will be responsible for managing the kitchen, developing menus, and ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation. This role requires creativity, leadership, and a deep understanding of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development:
    Create and update authentic Italian menus, featuring a wide range of dishes including pasta, risotto, pizza, seafood, and desserts.
  • Food Preparation:
    Prepare, cook, and present Italian dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Ingredient Sourcing:
    Source and manage fresh, high-quality ingredients, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership:
    Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operation and maintaining high kitchen standards. Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Quality Control:
    Ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards before being served, and make adjustments to recipes as necessary.
  • Cost Management:
    Manage kitchen budgets, control food costs, and reduce waste while maintaining the highest quality of dishes.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the kitchen. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.
  • Customer Interaction:
    Occasionally interact with guests to receive feedback on dishes and accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Italian Chef or in a similar role, with a strong background in Italian cuisine.
  • Extensive knowledge of Italian cooking techniques and ingredients, including pasta-making, pizza preparation, and traditional Italian desserts.
  • Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining the authenticity of Italian flavors.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification (preferred).
