Painter

Description of Responsibilities:

• Maintain all materials, machinery and tools used in trade. in proper working order.
• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's painted surfaces to identify and fix problems before they become bigger. This includes repairing damaged surfaces, preparing surfaces for painting, and applying paint
• Paint on any surface, safeguarding the surrounding areas.
• Execute the work in a clean, orderly and well-finished manner, to optimize the use of the materials used.
• Fill out the log recording their ongoing or completed activities, in order to report progress to their supervisor.
• Comply with current safety standards and regulations, using the appropriate protective elements, in order to comply with the established safety standards.
• Paint walls, floors, and surfaces throughout the hotel to ensure the preservation of the facilities in accordance with the standards of quality, time, safety, and aesthetics established by the hotel.

Required:

• Have knowledge of painting, varnishing and lacquering techniques and materials.
• Know how to apply the right colours and finishes according to the style and decoration of the hotel.
• Have previous experience in painting work in hotels or other similar establishments.
• Have the ability to work in a team, follow instructions and meet established deadlines.
• Fluent in written and verbal English communication skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in decorative or specialized painting techniques.
• Certifications or courses in painting techniques are valued.

Education & Certificates:

• Secondary education.
