Laundry Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laundry Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining laundry equipment to ensure the efficient and effective processing of linens and garments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laundry procedures and equipment, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines, according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, and garments efficiently and accurately.
• Inspect items for stains, tears, and other damage, and take appropriate action to repair or discard as necessary.
• Monitor laundry supplies and equipment inventory levels, and notify management of any shortages or maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning and disinfecting laundry equipment and surfaces regularly.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, sanitation, and infection control.
• Assist with training and mentoring new laundry team members as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of clean linens and garments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working in a commercial laundry facility preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laundry procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
