About Ireland Pavilion:
Ireland is actively preparing its programme for Expo 2025 Osaka, themed Designing Future Society for Our Lives. The Expo will run from 13 April to 13 October with 161 countries participating and an estimated 28 million visitors. The Irish Pavilion will serve as a vital platform to showcase Irelands culture, creativity and global connections. Irelands theme Creativity connects people will present Ireland as a hub of innovation and cultural exchange. It will feature an immersive visitor exhibition at the Irish pavilion, alongside a dynamic six month programme aligned with the Expo-wide Theme Weeks.

About the role:
Reporting to the Pavilion Team Leader and working under the direction of the Pavilion Director, Expo Pavilion Officers will work together to deliver all aspects of Irelands Expo 2025 programme, including exhibitions, activities and events.Pavilion Officers will be responsible for providing an outstanding visitor experience at the Irish Pavilion, including supporting high level and VIP visits.
Successful applicants should have excellent communications and interpersonal skills, a high proficiency in Japanese, and a strong track record in delivering high quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
Providing a first class visitor experience to all visitors to the Irish pavilion, including visiting delegations.
Manage the flow of visitors throughout the Irish pavilion, guiding and assisting guests in the exhibition and multi-purpose space as needed
Supporting, planning and execution of events at the Irish Pavilion and across the Expo site, include cultural, economic, scientific, educational, sporting and social events, while also providing entertainment as appropriate.
Providing hospitality to invited guests, including ministerial and other delegations.
- Support general administrative and operational tasks as instructed by the Pavilion Director, including correspondence, travel planning, preparation of itineraries, procurement of catering services, and event set up etc.
Required qualifications, experience and attributes:
Fluent English and a high proficiency of Japanese; knowledge of other languages an advantage, particularly Chinese and Korean.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Ireland and Irish culture and creativity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility, adaptability and willingness to use initiative when required.
Ability to successfully manage a range of different projects and work activities at the same time and re-prioritise when required.
Candidates should be suited to public engagement and interaction. Previous experience in customer service; retail; hospitality; events management; tour guiding; or similar roles an advantage.
Ability to contribute to Irelands Expo programme, if appropriate, through personal skills in performing arts (music, song, dance, theatre, visual arts etc.); sport; communications; or other relevant areas can be an advantage.
Experience of working with children or young people is an advantage

- Working Hours: The Irish Pavilion will operate daily from 09:00-22:00, additional hours may be required beyond this schedule.
