About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional hospitality staff to join our Bahrain Pavilion team for the Osaka Expo 2025. As representatives of the Pavilion, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for visitors from around the world. Fluency in English and Japanese are essential for effective communication with guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Waiters/Waitresses:

  • You welcome our guests from all over the world warmly, and ensure they enjoy a fantastic dining experience

  • You know our menu inside and out, so you can confidently recommend dishes and cater to any special dietary requests.

  • You keep the dining area spotless and organized, ensuring tables and service stations are always ready for your guests.

  • You handle orders with precision, deliver meals promptly, and process payments smoothly to leave a lasting impression.

• Cooks

  • You prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes, ensuring consistency, taste, and presentation meet our standards.

  • You maintain a clean and organized kitchen by following hygiene and food safety regulations at all times.

  • You manage ingredients effectively by monitoring stock levels, minimizing waste, and assisting with inventory orders.

  • You work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations, especially during busy periods, and communicate effectively to meet service demands.

  • You adapt to special requests and dietary requirements, making adjustments to dishes as needed to satisfy guest preferences.

NB: You bring prior experience of minimum 2 years as a Cook in a professional kitchen; previous experience in Arabic cuisine is a plus.

You bring a strong understanding of food preparation, safety, and hygiene practices.

Requirements:

Skills:

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• You have a strong work ethic with a willingness to perform repetitive tasks.

• You excel in communication with people, have a service-oriented attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.

• You are flexible to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and manage physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Language Skills: Fluent in Japanese, good proficiency in English and Arabic.

Experience:

• Prior experience in similar roles is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Work Eligibility:  

  Legal authorization to work in Japan.

Duration:

• Availability between: 1st April 2025 13th October 2025

• Pavilion public opening hours: 9:00am to 9pm

• Work Schedule: 9 working hours per day, 6 working days per week
