About the Role:

BLR WORLD are seeking proactive and experienced Team Leaders to manage and oversee a team of Hosts / Hostesses at the Kuwait Pavilion during Osaka Expo 2025. As a Team Leader, you will ensure the smooth operation of the Pavilion, providing excellent service to visitors and maintaining high standards of guest experience. You will also be a key representative of Kuwait’s culture, working closely with your team to deliver a memorable, world-class experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead and motivate a team of Hosts / Hostesses, ensuring they are well-prepared and engaged.

  • Oversee daily operations of the pavilion, ensuring staff adherence to schedules, roles, and responsibilities.

  • Conduct team briefings and assign duties based on the pavilion’s needs and visitor flow.

  • Monitor team performance, providing feedback and facilitating training as necessary to maintain high service standards.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.

2. Guest Experience & Pavilion Representation:

  • Ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome and excellent service from your team, acting as an ambassador for the Kuwait Pavilion.

  • Provide accurate and engaging information about Kuwait’s culture, traditions, and the pavilion’s exhibitions.

  • Handle escalated visitor inquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring swift resolution.

  • Assist with VIP or special guest visits, ensuring their experience is seamless and memorable.

3. Operational Oversight & Safety:

  • Ensure the pavilion is well-maintained, clean, and operationally efficient.

  • Supervise crowd control, queue management, and guest safety, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

  • Be prepared to manage emergency situations, ensuring the team is trained and aware of evacuation procedures.

4. Reporting & Feedback:

  • Report daily operational updates, incidents, and feedback to the Pavilion Operations Manager.

  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance guest experience and team performance.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within customer service, hospitality, or events management is essential.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills; fluency in English and Japanese is required. Knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high levels of engagement and service delivery.

  • Customer-Oriented: A friendly, approachable attitude with a passion for creating excellent guest experiences.

  • Cultural Awareness: Knowledge of Kuwait's culture and traditions is a plus.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and manage physical tasks such as assisting guests.

  • Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in Japan.

  • Need to be based in Japan 

Duration:

  • Expo 2025-Osaka: April 13th, 2025 October 13th, 2025

  • Availability: Mid-March 2025 Mid-October 2025

  • Training: To be confirmed

  • Working Hours: Pavilion public opening hours (9:30 AM to 9:00 PM)
