About the role

The Senior Specialist, Data Analyst for E-Learning in the Museum Sector, will focus on evaluating and improving an online learning platform through data-driven insights in all stages of the platform's development. This role emphasises developing strategic data collection plans, analysing user engagement metrics, analysing course effectiveness, and supporting evidence-based enhancements to create an optimal learning experience for diverse users in the museum sector. Data Analysis will be focused, but not limited to performance of the platform, course quality, performance and feedback, user (learner) experience, project KPIs and ongoing improvement across these areas.

Responsibilities

Pre-Data Availability Phase

  • Ability to write and present a data collection strategy that clearly communicates when and how data will be queried from a learning platform
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English used to pro-actively interview stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to identify data-based solutions to platform-related challenges, adapting quickly to evolving project and educational needs
  • Proven expertise in analysing learner data, using outcome-based data analysis to generate actionable insights that inform continuous platform improvements
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights to enhance course and platform efficacy and inform department leadership on the success of the project using data to support KPIs

Data Query and Collection Phase

  • Experience navigating the strengths and challenges of Totara data extraction
  • Strong skills in designing and implementing mixed methods data collection strategies for different launch phases, ensuring readiness for full-scale platform improvements
  • Proficient in using data analytics tools and frameworks (such as HEART or funnel logging) to assess and enhance user experience, satisfaction, and educational outcomes

Post-Collection Phase

  • Worked with Totara customizable LMS, building and interpreting wireframes, and developing user dashboards
  • Ability to understand the IT terminology, processes, and milestones of platform development and be able to report and interpret this to non-technical stakeholders in language that is understandable and highlights key takeaways
  • Ability to set personal KPIs and work proactively to meet role-specific accountabilities

Generalist UX

  • Proven ability to conduct UX research specific to online learning environments, with a focus on learner engagement, accessibility, and data-driven analysis
  • Ability to understand and work with user flow diagrams and wireframes

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure day-to-day activities are aligned with policies and procedures

  • Support the on-time submission and quality assurance of deliverables and the KPIs of the project manager and the department

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Support the project manager in working with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables, adherence to project timelines
  • Support the project manager and vendors in the development of the online courses and the newly developed platform using Totara
  • Develop pre-launch data collection frameworks and implement data analysis strategies to prepare for full data availability
  • Analyse user data and design feedback mechanisms that guide platform improvements, ensuring training outcomes are met.
  • Conduct learner analytics to evaluate user learning experiences, with a focus on educational impact, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Design user experience surveys and assessments tailored to online learning, providing actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Ensure data-driven decisions are documented and evidence-based.

  • Maintain data privacy and security compliance in all user data handling.
  • Support the project manager in documenting technical requirements and creating standard operating procedures.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data 

  • Analyst/UX Generalist in the Ed Tech, Online Learning, or Education fields
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, IT, Learning Technologies, UX, or similar field
  • Saudi National

  • Fluent in Arabic and English

Location & Commitments

  • Full-time, Contracted from December 2024 until October 2025

  • Work 5 days a week (flexibility on days according to project needs), 9 hours a day, including a 1-hour lunch break
  • Office based in Saudi Arabia, with flexibility to attend offsite meetings, some of which may be overseas
