Job Summary:
The Systems and Applications Manager oversees the implementation, optimization, and support of the organization’s core applications, including ERP and other business-critical systems. Additionally, this role is responsible for retrieving and maintaining an up-to-date inventory of responsibilities for all applications across the organization, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance. The position reports to the Digital Transformation Sr. Manager and works closely with IT operations, cybersecurity, and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Management: Lead the implementation, integration, and management of core systems and applications, ensuring alignment with business processes and organizational strategy.
Application Responsibilities Inventory: Develop, maintain, and regularly update an inventory that clearly defines responsibilities, ownership, and usage of all applications within the organization.
Application Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of applications, from requirement gathering and design to deployment, support, and updates.
ERP and Core Systems Oversight: Manage ERP and other core systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements and integrate smoothly with other systems.
System Optimization: Identify and execute improvements in applications for efficiency, automation, and effectiveness, based on user feedback and business needs.
Vendor Collaboration: Coordinate with software vendors and service providers to ensure reliable support, maintenance, and adherence to SLAs.
User Support and Training: Establish protocols and training initiatives to ensure users can effectively operate applications and systems.
Data Integrity and Compliance: Ensure that all applications comply with data governance standards, organizational policies, and relevant regulations.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure, cloud operations, cybersecurity, and tech support teams to ensure seamless system integration and robust application security.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, ERP certifications) is a plus.
7+ years of experience in systems and applications management, including responsibility tracking and application lifecycle management.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP systems, data governance, application support, and compliance standards.
Experience managing vendor relationships, monitoring application performance, and optimizing software processes.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable business terms.
