The Opportunity
We're seeking a Legal Calendar Clerk to join our growing team and serve as a critical support system for our attorneys and paralegals. This is an excellent entry point into employment litigation for someone who's detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
What makes this role special? You'll start with core administrative responsibilities, but as you develop your skills and knowledge, you'll have the opportunity to grow into broader litigation support functions including expanded calendaring, clerking duties, and case management.
What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities
- Answer phones and manage messages with professionalism, serving as a first point of contact for clients and courts
- Handle client communication with empathy and clarity, supporting our commitment to excellent client service
- File, scan, and organize case files (both electronic and paper) with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist with calendaring hearings, deadlines, and firm events to ensure nothing is missed
- Support attorneys and paralegals with general administrative tasks that keep cases moving forward
Growth Opportunities
As you gain experience and demonstrate capability, your responsibilities will expand to include:
- Advanced calendaring and deadline management
- Clerking duties and document preparation
- Expanded litigation support responsibilities

What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail you catch what others miss
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a polished phone presence
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and maturity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
- Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Eager to learn and grow within the legal field
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior legal support experience or experience working for a law firm
- Familiarity with legal calendaring and court deadlines
- Experience with electronic filing systems
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time
Work Environment: Begins remote, transitioning to hybrid schedule in Los Angeles, CA 90067

What Success Looks Like in This Role
In your first 90 days, you'll:
- Master the firm's calendaring system and deadline tracking processes
- Build strong relationships with attorneys, paralegals, and clients
- Demonstrate reliability in managing phones, messages, and file organization
- Show initiative in learning legal terminology and procedures
- Identify opportunities to take on additional responsibilities
Within your first year, you'll:
- Expand into more complex calendaring and litigation support tasks
- Take ownership of specific administrative functions
- Contribute to case preparation and trial support
- Become an indispensable member of the litigation team
Work Location & Schedule
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90067 (Century City area)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday
Work Arrangement: Starts remote, transitions to hybrid (in-office and remote mix)
