Senior Freelance Attorney Employment Law (5+ Years Experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a senior freelance attorney with 5+ years of plaintiff-side employment law experience to manage active cases independently. This role involves overseeing all day-to-day litigation activities, communicating with opposing counsel, and driving cases forward with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned cases and manage all day-to-day tasks
• Communicate directly with opposing counsel and clients
• Handle discovery, motion practice, and strategic case development
• Coordinate filings and ensure deadlines are met
• Report regularly on case progress

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership (California preferred)
• 5+ years of employment Law litigation experience
• Proven ability to manage cases independently
• Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills

Compensation: $160 - $180 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability to work independently

Employment Type: Contract (1099)
