Background

Our client is a leading manufacturer of aesthetic medical devices, with a strong presence in global markets. As part of their ambitious international expansion strategy, the company is establishing a Japanese subsidiary and strengthening its global sales operations. The company seeks an experienced sales leader to drive international business growth, with immediate focus on the Japanese market expansion while managing global sales channels across North America, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), this position will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's global market expansion strategy. Based in the company's headquarters in Yongin, Korea, this role requires regular interaction with both Korean headquarters staff and international stakeholders. The position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead the company's international growth phase and build a strong global sales organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute global sales strategies in alignment with CSO and corporate objectives
  • Lead the establishment and growth of Japanese subsidiary operations
  • Design and implement market entry and expansion strategies for key international markets
  • Build and manage relationships with key global partners and distributors
  • Provide strategic input for product development based on market insights

Global Sales Operations

  • Manage and grow international sales channels across all regions
  • Lead new market entry initiatives, with initial focus on Japanese market
  • Build and manage relationships with global distributors and partners
  • Establish and manage subsidiary operations in key markets
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and business practices

Sales Operations Management

  • Manage and grow international sales channels across all regions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with global distributors and partners
  • Establish and monitor sales KPIs across international markets
  • Lead pricing strategy and contract negotiations for international deals
  • Coordinate with global marketing teams for consistent brand positioning

Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets
  • Evaluate and propose new partnership and distribution models
  • Lead major account acquisition and relationship management
  • Drive international revenue growth and market share expansion
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape


Key Qualifications

  • 15+ years of international sales experience in medical device or related industries
  • Proven track record of successful market entry and business development in multiple countries
  • Experience in establishing and managing international sales operations
  • Strong understanding of medical device industry dynamics
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing cross-cultural sales teams
  • Advanced English proficiency for global business communication
  • Business-level Korean language proficiency for internal communications and stakeholder management
  • Must be eligible to work in Korea without visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Native-level Korean language skills with deep understanding of Korean business culture
  • Experience in aesthetic medical device industry
  • Business-level Japanese language skills
  • Track record of successful market entry in Asian markets, particularly Japan
  • Experience in establishing and managing subsidiary operations
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations in key markets
  • Experience in managing distributor networks in multiple countries
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree
