Background
Our client is a leading Korean alternative investment firm with established presence across Asia. While headquartered in Korea, the firm operates a Singapore entity focused on managing dedicated Singapore-based funds and global portfolio investments.
The firm is currently seeking an experienced Investment Principal to join their team in Samsung-dong, Seoul, who will be responsible for managing investments for the Singapore fund and overseeing domestic portfolio companies. This position will require regular collaboration with the Singapore entity, with occasional business travel to Singapore. After approximately one year, relocation to Singapore may be possible based on performance and personal preference.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead deal evaluation and execution processes for the Singapore fund's investments, with particular focus on Korean opportunities
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, market assessment, and prepare investment committee presentations
- Build and maintain relationships with potential investment targets and stakeholders to generate quality deal flow
- Collaborate with the Singapore team to align investment activities with fund objectives
- Prepare comprehensive investment memoranda and due diligence reports in both Korean and English
- Conduct financial, legal, and operational assessments of potential investments
- Support ongoing portfolio management and monitoring of existing investments
- Represent the firm at relevant industry forums and networking events
Key Qualifications
- 8-9 years of relevant experience with strong background in accounting firm Financial Advisory Services (FAS)
- Significant sell-side transaction experience (corporate development, investor relations, M&A advisory)
- Advanced financial modeling skills with deep understanding of valuation methodologies
- Superior analytical capabilities with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Korean (bilingual fluency required)
- Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into strategic insights
- Experience working with corporate finance or investor relations at established companies preferred
- Understanding of APAC investment landscape and cross-border transactions
- Advanced degree in business administration, finance or relevant field a plus
