Our client is a fast-growing LNG infrastructure company backed by leading U.S. and European energy investment specialists. The company specializes in LNG FSRU (Floating Storage Regasification Unit) solutions, delivering full-service capabilities from engineering and procurement to operations.

With an ambitious growth plan targeting significant organizational expansion over the next 18-24 months, the company is building a world-class team on meritocratic principles. The CTO role is a critical C-level position reporting directly to investors/CEO, serving as the essential technical bridge between Business Development and Project Management organizations while driving technical excellence across multiple concurrent FSRU projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the chief technical authority bridging CCO (Business Development) and CPO (Project Management) organizations across the entire deal-to-delivery lifecycle
  • Define and execute the company's technology roadmap for LNG FSRU and emerging green methanol initiatives
  • Lead technical due diligence, feasibility assessments, and proposal development for new project opportunities
  • Oversee all Engineering (E) and Procurement (P) activities while optimizing Construction (C) through strategic partnerships
  • Build and scale a world-class engineering organization, recruiting top-tier talent across quality/safety, procurement, cost estimation, and specialized engineering disciplines
  • Establish engineering standards, governance frameworks, and quality protocols to support 3+ concurrent major projects
  • Provide executive-level technical guidance and regular updates to U.S./European investors and board members
  • Drive innovation in compact FSRU designs and differentiated technical solutions for global markets
  • Partner with C-level peers on strategic planning, risk management, and operational excellence

Key Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • 15+ years in LNG industry with deep expertise in FSRU, LNG terminals, or related offshore/floating infrastructure
  • C-level or senior VP-level leadership experience in engineering-led organizations within energy/EPC sectors
  • Proven track record building and scaling technical organizations (50+ engineers) in high-growth environments
  • Strong chemical/process engineering background (preferred over power generation due to safety standards alignment)
  • Exceptional English proficiency for direct interaction with U.S./European investors and global stakeholders
  • Experience with top-tier global EPC contractors or major energy companies (excluding current Daelim employees)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record in full-service delivery models encompassing E, P, C, and operations
  • Expertise in compact/modular design approaches for LNG infrastructure
  • Exposure to emerging green technologies (green methanol, hydrogen) in maritime/energy sectors
  • Cultural fit with American business practices and fast-paced scale-up environments
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
  • MBA or advanced technical degree from leading institutions
