We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations in Ayer, MA. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a strong background in food, beverage, biotech, or pharmaceutical manufacturing. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity goals while fostering team development and continuous improvement across all production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets.
  • Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology to solve operational challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and optimize scheduling.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards, including GMP, SOPs, OSHA, and FDA.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and employee engagement.
  • Manage material availability, product quality, and on-time delivery through efficient resource planning.
  • Facilitate operational reviews to ensure alignment with short- and long-term goals.
  • Support new product launches in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead workforce planning and training programs to ensure flexibility and succession readiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing (food, beverage, biotech, or pharmaceutical).
  • Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Daily Management Systems, Lean principles, GMPs, SOPs, OSHA, and FDA regulations preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating teams and fostering a high-performance culture.
