Radiation Therapist – Oncology

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join a patient-focused oncology team in Missoula, MT. In this role, you will deliver prescribed radiation treatments, ensure patient safety, and support oncology care teams in providing high-quality treatment experiences. This position requires strong attention to detail, clinical precision, and a commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely
• Position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment according to treatment plans
• Verify treatment parameters and maintain accurate patient records
• Monitor patient responses and report changes to the oncology care team
• Follow radiation safety protocols for patients, staff, and self
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and oncology staff to ensure optimal care delivery
• Provide patient education and emotional support throughout treatment

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy
• Radiation Therapy Certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols
• Effective communication and patient interaction skills

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience in a radiation oncology or hospital setting
• Familiarity with radiation therapy treatment systems and imaging workflows
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
