Key Responsibilities:
As an ICU RN, you will:
- Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, including monitoring and managing complex medical conditions.
- Perform accurate patient assessments and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with hospital standards.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team—including physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff—to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Follow hospital policies and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Respond to emergency situations with professionalism, critical thinking, and timely intervention.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of ICU experience preferred.
- 1+ year of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills.
