Location: US-based (Frequent travel to customer sites across US, Canada, Mexico – 70–80%)
Salary: $70,000–$100,000 per year (experience-based, travel bonus possible)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating machines
and associated equipment at customer sites. This hands-on role involves preventive and emergency maintenance, customer training, and remote technical support. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to travel extensively across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Maintenance: Install PVD machines, cleaning systems, and peripheral equipment; perform preventive maintenance and repairs; troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Customer Training: Deliver hands-on training on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; maintain training documentation.
- Service Coordination: Plan and manage service visits independently; communicate schedules and requirements to customers and internal teams.
- Remote Support: Provide troubleshooting via phone, email, or remote-access tools; document all resolutions.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow safety regulations and industry standards at all times; maintain safe working environments on-site.
- Reporting: Provide updates on service activities, customer feedback, and technical challenges to the Service Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field—or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience with PVD coating machines or similar industrial machinery
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in remote support tools and ticketing systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to travel 70–80% (domestic and international)
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices
Must-Have:
- Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing PVD or industrial equipment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience
