Tennessee Professional Land Surveyor – Senior Survey Manager
Location: Tennessee | Experience Required: 10+ years | License: TN PLS
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Tennessee Professional Registered Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead land surveying projects, manage field crews, and ensure precise survey measurements for construction, mapping, utilities, and land development. This senior-level role combines technical expertise with leadership, project management, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple field crews in land surveying projects, ensuring accurate data collection, calculations, and legal descriptions.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local surveying regulations.
- Perform quality control and quality assurance on survey deliverables.
- Mentor and manage team members, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Support business development and client relationships for surveying services.
Required Qualifications:
- Tennessee Professional Registered Land Surveyor (PLS) license – active and valid.
- Minimum 10 years of land surveying experience, including fieldwork and project management.
- Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and local surveying regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and InRoads for survey plan preparation.
- Experience with aerial mapping, LiDAR, and sUAS preferred.
- Proven leadership in managing multiple field crews and client projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's in Surveying/Civil Engineering preferred).
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based (95%) with occasional fieldwork in various weather conditions.
- Fieldwork may require lifting up to 25 lbs.
