We are seeking a Photolithography Training Engineer / Technical Instructor to join our San Jose team. In this role, you will combine semiconductor equipment expertise with technical training and course development, delivering high-impact training programs for advanced photolithography systems used in semiconductor manufacturing.
This is a hands-on role working in cleanroom and fab environments, supporting both internal teams and global customers through structured training, equipment demonstrations, and technical content development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical training on photolithography equipment for internal teams and customers (onsite and customer locations)
- Conduct classroom and cleanroom-based instruction covering operation, maintenance, installation, and applications
- Develop, update, and maintain technical training materials, manuals, and procedures
- Ensure accuracy of service procedures to support field service engineers and customer operations
- Manage and maintain training lab equipment and cleanroom readiness
- Conduct technical presentations and lead knowledge-sharing sessions
- Gather customer feedback to improve training programs and learning outcomes
- Support troubleshooting and hands-on demonstrations in a cleanroom/fab environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of semiconductor industry experience
- Background in field service, semiconductor equipment, or process engineering
- Hands-on experience with hardware, mechanical/electrical systems, or tool maintenance
- Prior experience as a technical trainer or instructor (strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in cleanroom environments (full PPE required)
Preferred Experience
- Photolithography or semiconductor process equipment experience
- Cleanroom / fab manufacturing environment experience
- Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills (tools, robotics, or system components)
- Experience training engineers or customers in technical environments
Additional Details
- On-site role in San Jose, CA (no remote option)
- Up to 30–50% travel (primarily domestic, occasional international)
- Mix of 70% training delivery / 30% course development
- Work includes cleanroom, classroom, and hands-on equipment environments
