About the Role

Titan Mining Corporation is seeking a Junior Metallurgist to support mill and assay lab operations at its high-grade zinc mining operation in upstate New York. This role is ideal for a hands-on mineral processing professional who enjoys working in a plant environment focused on production optimization, metallurgical testing, and process improvement.

You will work under the Mill Manager and play a key role in supporting daily metallurgical performance, QA/QC systems, and recovery optimization across milling operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage QA/QC processes for assay laboratory and mill operations
  • Monitor and support plant performance to maintain and improve production rates
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve metallurgical and process issues
  • Provide technical support to operators, millwrights, and lab technicians
  • Conduct metallurgical testing on ore samples and reagents to optimize recovery
  • Design and execute plant sampling programs and metallurgical surveys
  • Analyze assay and plant performance data and recommend process improvements
  • Maintain assay lab chemical inventory and consumables
  • Prepare and compile daily metallurgical and production reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards
  • Stay current with mineral processing technologies and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in mineral processing or metallurgical operations
  • Strong working knowledge of flotation, gravity separation, and/or magnetic separation
  • Experience in assay lab QA/QC and plant sampling programs
  • Ability to analyze metallurgical data and interpret process performance metrics
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills (English)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in hard-rock base metals operations (zinc, lead, copper, or polymetallic ores)
  • Exposure to concentrator or mill environments in active mining operations
  • Metallurgical testwork, recovery optimization, and process troubleshooting experience
