As a Water/Wastewater Project Manager, you will lead projects from concept through construction, guiding multidisciplinary teams while delivering high-quality engineering solutions for communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead water and wastewater projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and subconsultants to develop risk-averse project scopes and fees.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and quality management plans.
  • Manage project subconsultants and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Develop extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and challenges to clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare progress reports, review invoices, and participate in financial status meetings.
  • Support business development, including proposals, marketing, and client interviews.
  • Mentor and coach project team members through one-on-one meetings and project debriefs.
  • Lead and manage team performance, provide feedback, and promote professional growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 10+ years of experience managing water and wastewater projects from design through construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CAPM or PMP certification.
  • Experience working with county and state clients.
  • Familiarity with multiple project delivery methods: Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based work (95%), with occasional field visits in varied weather conditions.
  • Some lifting up to 25 lbs may be required.
