Safety Coordinator – Manufacturing | OSHA | 2nd Shift
Ponca City, OK
$60,000 – $75,000 + Up to 14% Annual Bonus
Shift: 2nd Shift (3 PM–12 AM, Mon–Fri | OT available)
Overview
We are seeking a Safety Coordinator
to support plant leadership in building a proactive safety culture within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on hazard identification, incident prevention, safety training, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EHS). You will partner closely with operations and the Safety Manager to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Safety Manager with implementing and maintaining EHS and OSHA safety programs
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments within the plant
- Lead incident reporting and investigations, identify root causes, and track corrective actions
- Deliver monthly safety training and specialized safety programs for plant employees
- Partner with operations teams to improve work practices and reduce workplace hazards
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
Qualifications
- 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial safety experience (assembly, production, or machine shop environments)
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing facility
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and make safety-related decisions
Preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Safety certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CPE
Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant environment with loud noise, temperature changes, and strong odors
- May require PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection) in production areas
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
Schedule
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Monday–Friday)
- Overtime paid for 6th and 7th day worked
- Weekend work as needed
