Safety Coordinator – Manufacturing | Ponca City, OK (2nd Shift)

Salary: $60K–$75K + up to 14% bonus potential
Shift: 2nd Shift (3 PM–12 AM, M–F, OT for 6th/7th day)
Location: Ponca City, OK
Reports To: Safety Manager
Direct Reports: None – Individual Contributor

About the Role

We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to promote a proactive safety culture in our fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will partner with plant leadership to identify hazards, implement safety programs, conduct training, and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Safety Manager in implementing and revising safety programs.
• Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis; track corrective actions to prevent repeat incidents.
• Develop, deliver, and maintain plant safety training programs for all employees.
• Perform routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
• Advise operations and plant teams on safe work practices to reduce risk.

Qualifications – Must Have

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing (assembly/machine shop).
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is highly preferred.
• Supervisory experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and independent decision-making.
• Comfortable in loud, hot/cold, refrigerated, and food manufacturing environments.

Nice to Have

• Food manufacturing experience.
• Advanced safety certifications: CPE, CSP, or CIH.

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to sit/stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
• Use of PPE, such as safety glasses and hearing protection required in manufacturing areas.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, odors, and industrial conditions.
