Job Overview
We are hiring a Product Engineer / Manufacturing Technician to support high-tech machining operations in a fast-paced aerospace, automotive, and precision manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, shop-floor engineering role focused on supporting production programs, improving manufacturability, and ensuring product quality across the full lifecycle.
This position requires strong experience in CNC machining, complex assemblies, and manufacturing engineering support. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens (USC).
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain production documentation, including work instructions, assembly sheets, setup sheets, MPPs, and engineering memos
- Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing and assembly teams on the production floor
- Troubleshoot machining and assembly issues to maintain production flow and product integrity
- Support NPI (New Product Introduction), production release, and mature product improvement activities
- Evaluate and support the implementation of new equipment and manufacturing processes
- Track, analyze, and improve key production and engineering metrics
- Participate in technical discussions with customers on design and manufacturing updates
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate machining equipment and process improvements
- Support on-site manufacturing operations (~60% shop floor / 40% engineering office work)
- Occasionally travel to customer or vendor sites for technical support and evaluations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology OR 5+ years of equivalent experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining or precision manufacturing environments
- Strong background supporting complex assemblies and production operations
- Experience developing or maintaining manufacturing documentation (work instructions, setup sheets, etc.)
- Hands-on experience supporting production troubleshooting and shop-floor engineering needs
- Proven experience across the product lifecycle (NPI through production support)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (USC)
Preferred Qualifications
- CAD experience (SolidWorks or similar)
- CNC programming or machining exposure
- Aerospace, automotive, medical device, or precision manufacturing background
- Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional engineering teams
- Exposure to equipment evaluation, process improvement, or lean manufacturing

- High-tech machine shop environment
- Significant hands-on shop-floor engagement (~60%)
- Office-based engineering work (~40%)
- Occasional travel to vendors and customers
