Fire Suppression & Fire Alarm Design Engineer

We are hiring a Fire Suppression Design Engineereither Junior or Senior level, depending on your experience. This role focuses on the design of special hazard fire suppression systems and fire alarm systems (not water-based sprinkler systems).

Responsibilities:

• Design fire suppression and fire alarm systems using AutoCAD and proprietary design software.
• Ensure compliance with local, national codes, and manufacturer standards.
• Conduct site surveys to ensure optimal system design and installation.
• Interpret and apply project specifications provided by customers.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installation contractors.
• Create and update project-specific documentation including O&M manuals and drawings.
• Assist with system startup, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training, including manufacturer classes and NICET preparation.
• Support internal engineering and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Previous experience designing fire suppression and fire alarm systems (not sprinkler-only systems).
• Strong background in AutoCAD 2D; experience with 3D design is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the fire protection industry.
• Willingness to pursue NICET certification.
