About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer III to join our growing IT security team. In this role, you'll lead incident response efforts, manage key cybersecurity tools, oversee vulnerability remediation, and ensure our systems are aligned with the latest industry standards and compliance requirements.
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of security operations, work cross-functionally with internal teams, and play a key role in strengthening our cyber defense posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead response efforts to cybersecurity incidents and events in a structured, efficient, and well-documented manner
- Monitor for anomalies, security violations, and breaches using advanced detection tools
- Manage and optimize security technologies, including firewalls, SIEM, antivirus, email protection, asset discovery tools, and vulnerability scanners
- Drive the vulnerability management program by coordinating remediation and patching efforts
- Conduct routine assessments to verify system security controls and document findings
- Align enterprise systems with organizational security standards, protocols, and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations
- Contribute to secure architecture planning for network and system designs
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices

Participate in the rotating security on-call schedule

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven experience in information security or cybersecurity engineering
- Strong understanding of network security, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment
- Proficient with modern security tools: firewalls, proxies, SIEM, endpoint protection, IdPs, and more
- Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance standards
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and remediate system vulnerabilities across hybrid environments

Valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally as needed

Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills

Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC

Familiarity with cloud security tools and strategies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
