About the job Human Resources Manager
You'll oversee recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and HRIS optimizationespecially within Rippling. You'll also play a key role in supporting our international employees and fostering a unified, people-first culture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily HR functions across BIMsmith and Swatchbox divisions
- Implement and optimize the Rippling HRIS platform for efficiency and compliance
- Update and maintain employee handbooks, HR policies, and workplace procedures
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and warehouse safety standards
- Support international employees and ensure global compliance with employment practices
- Drive recruitment efforts, from job postings to offer letters and onboarding
- Oversee background checks, I-9 verifications, and employee onboarding logistics
- Act as the primary HR contact for employee relations, benefits, leave, and performance support
- Coordinate employee coaching, performance improvement plans, and investigations
- Manage employee training programs, including compliance and safety training
- Promote employee engagement and culture through recognition and communication initiatives
- Maintain accurate HR records and support internal reporting needs
- Assist with payroll coordination and benefits administration alongside the finance team
- Stay informed on emerging HR trends and best practices to continually improve operations
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HR experience, including 2+ years in a generalist or HR leadership role
- Experience supporting both office and warehouse-based employees
- Strong understanding of U.S. employment law, workplace safety, and HR compliance
- Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (Rippling experience strongly preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks with confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based HR tools
- Strong interviewing and onboarding skills with excellent verbal/written communication
