The company, a modern and growing underground zinc mining operation, is hiring a Health and Safety Coordinator to drive workplace safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure workplace safety and full compliance with MSHA and all applicable regulations
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety policies and programs
• Conduct regular workplace risk assessments (both underground and surface)
• Lead and provide ongoing safety training and education to all employees
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate and accompany MSHA during inspections and audits
• Maintain organized and accurate documentation of all safety-related activities
• Schedule required physical exams and hearing tests
• Assist with the preparation and submission of weekly and monthly safety reports
• Promote a positive safety culture across all departments
• Perform other health and safety tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience with MSHA regulations, workplace safety procedures, and compliance
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills; able to manage deadlines efficiently
• Proficiency with computers and safety reporting tools (Word, Excel, incident tracking software, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
