What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage a variety of traffic engineering projects across South Carolina.
  • Drive strategic growth by developing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Manage proposals, budgets, staffing, and resources for traffic projects and initiatives.
  • Oversee traffic design deliverables such as:

    • Traffic signal and lighting plans

    • Signing and pavement marking plans

    • Maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans

    • Traffic impact studies, crash analysis, and operational analysis

  • Mentor and lead junior staff; manage hiring, training, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with SCDOT, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of traffic engineering design, analysis, and planning experience.
  • BSCE in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina.

  • Strong working knowledge of SCDOT policies and practices.

  • Hands-on experience with traffic analysis and simulation software (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, HCS).
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and traffic engineering design software.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work environment:  part-time remote, part-time in-office.

  • Office setting with standard lighting and temperature controls.

  • Occasional travel for meetings or site visits may be required.
