What You'll Do

  • Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies (TTE, fetal, transesophageal) on pediatric patients, including those with complex congenital heart defects
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and intensivists to interpret and review imaging
  • Travel to various outpatient clinics to assist in cardiology evaluations
  • Contribute to departmental growth through mentoring, onboarding, and process improvement
  • Maintain equipment and participate in QA/QI efforts to uphold lab standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiac Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or Sonography
  • Certifications (one required):
    • RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI)
    • RCCS (Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer CCI)
    • RDCS (PE) (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer ARDMS, Pediatric Echo)
  • BLS/ALS certification (required)
  • Note: If RDCS (AE) or RCS is held, candidate must obtain RDCS (PE) or RCCS within 18 months

Key Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of congenital cardiac anatomy and pathology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working closely with cardiologists, nurses, and surgical teams
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and reporting skills
