Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic with strong expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems to support production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a skilled trades professional with proven experience in assembly/manufacturing maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, presses, and metal fabrication equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic presses
• Perform mechanical maintenance on production machinery, conveyor systems, motors, and engines
• Diagnose issues in PLC-controlled equipment
• Dismantle, inspect, adjust, and replace defective mechanical components
• Repair basic electrical equipment and control instruments
• Operate lathe, mill, drill press, grinder, and arc welding equipment
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
• Install and test mechanical and structural components
• Initiate purchase orders for parts and equipment
• Maintain equipment reliability and workplace safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Card (mandatory and verifiable)
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing or assembly environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting
• Ability to arc weld and operate machining equipment (lathe & mills)
• Basic electrical repair knowledge
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (100 lbs occasionally)

Preferred Experience

• Electrical/electronic manufacturing background
• Familiarity with U.S. workplace safety standards
• Experience working with high-speed production equipment
