About the Role:
Were seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician Manager to lead our service team, ensuring all ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and biomedical devices are repaired, maintained, and calibrated to top quality and safety standards. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise, team management, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of Biomedical Equipment Technicians.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and other respiratory equipment.
- Assign daily work, track progress, and meet service turnaround targets.
- Conduct quality checks, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Manage inventory, parts ordering, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Operations leadership to improve processes.
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or technical training required; bachelor's preferred.
- 5+ years in biomedical equipment repair preferred; durable medical equipment, ventilator, and oxygen concentrator experience highly valued.
- 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role managing 4–6 staff.
- Strong knowledge of biomedical devices and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Experience tracking production metrics and managing operational workflows.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and service documentation systems.
Work Environment & Shift Options:
- A combination of shop and office work.
- Moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) and use of diagnostic tools required.
- Occasional travel to other facilities.
- Shift Options: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM CST or 8:00 AM – 4:40 PM CST.
- Work split: 70–80% hands-on technical, 20–30% administrative.
