Join our dynamic team at Ottumwa Regional Health Center as a Cath Lab RN and make a meaningful impact on cardiac patient care. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care in our cardiac catheterization lab. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians, interdisciplinary staff, and patients in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care during cardiac cath lab procedures, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Rotate between pre/post-procedural care and cardiac cath lab procedural teams.
  • Coordinate and document patient care in compliance with nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.
  • Educate patients and families and assist with discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and support personnel to maintain professional nursing standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to unit staff, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of procedures and proper storage of medical images for physician review.
  • Monitor and report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and patient incidents promptly.
  • Assist in managing cath lab supplies and inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in Iowa or a multistate license eligible for Iowa practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • BCLS and ACLS certification.
  • Iowa Mandatory Reporter Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Certificates.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in Emergency, ICU, or related nursing area.
  • Prior experience in a cardiac cath lab is highly desirable.
