Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist with advanced CAM programming expertise and strong CNC milling experience to join our manufacturing team in Montgomeryville, PA. This hands-on role is responsible for programming, setup, first-article validation, troubleshooting, fixturing, and production support for precision-machined components.
This is a full-time, onsite position with opportunities to contribute to process improvements, quality initiatives, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC milling programs using CAM software.
- Generate and validate production-ready CNC programs and toolpaths.
- Set up CNC mills, including tooling, chucks, collets, vises, offsets, and fixtures.
- Design and build fixturing to support efficient and repeatable machining processes.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining specifications.
- Perform first-article inspections and verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machining processes, tooling issues, and program performance.
- Adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and machine parameters to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Complete production releases, quality sign-offs, and manufacturing documentation.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and support safe manufacturing operations.
- Communicate production issues and process improvements across work centers.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on CNC milling programming and machining experience.
- Expert-level CAM programming experience (CAM software platform not specified).
- Proven experience creating, proving, and validating CNC programs for production.
- Strong CNC mill setup experience, including tooling, fixturing, and offsets.
- Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
- Experience performing first-article inspections and quality verification.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
- Strong troubleshooting and process improvement skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and housekeeping practices.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
