Shift: Monday through Thursday 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, occasional Friday overtime 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Finishing Production Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift production team in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, continuous improvement, and team development. The ideal candidate will foster an engaged, high-performing team while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.

As a first-line leader, you will coordinate daily operations, support team members, and drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a production team with a focus on safety, accountability, and engagement
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and promote proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Promote ergonomic best practices to prevent injuries and maintain a healthy workforce
  • Encourage and empower team members to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Establish and track team goals to meet production schedules and operating metrics
  • Oversee employee training in safety, quality, equipment operation, and manufacturing best practices
  • Collaborate with technical staff to resolve production issues and ensure operational support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters and work with Union Stewards as needed
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, streamline processes, and improve lean manufacturing operations
  • Conduct regular safety audits and address non-compliance or unsafe practices promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and business objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience supervising in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Proven leadership ability with a servant leadership mindset
  • Prior experience in manufacturing supervision strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive team-based solutions
  • Knowledge of process control, production scheduling, Kaizen, Kanban, and Lean manufacturing is a plus
  • Self-driven, ambitious, and able to coach, mentor, and lead a team effectively
