Overview

Sacs Door & Gate Corp is hiring a Field Installation Manager to support and streamline high-volume commercial door and gate service operations across the Greater Sacramento area. This hands-on role focuses on field troubleshooting, service estimating, crew coordination, and real-time job support.

This position is ideal for a seasoned commercial door technician or supervisor ready to step into an operations-focused leadership role. You'll work closely with leadership during a structured 6-month onboarding period to help improve workflow efficiency and field execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations across ~10–20 active commercial service jobs
  • Provide on-site and remote technical troubleshooting support to technicians
  • Scope work and prepare accurate service estimates and job requirements
  • Coordinate scheduling and dispatch of small (1–2 person) service/installation crews
  • Source parts, materials, and equipment needed for repairs and installations
  • Ensure jobs are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain job flow
  • Support compliance with safety requirements and applicable codes (ADA, fire-rated assemblies, etc.)
  • Partner with leadership during structured training and onboarding period

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on commercial door & gate service/repair experience (not residential)
  • Strong background in diagnosing and repairing field issues independently or remotely
  • Experience with multiple commercial door systems, such as:
    • Automatic doors (e.g., SIG or similar)
    • Storefront systems
    • Hollow metal and solid core doors
    • Overhead/rolling doors
    • Gate systems and operators
    • Dock equipment
  • Experience preparing service estimates and scoping repair work
  • Ability to manage multiple active jobs in a fast-paced field environment
  • Strong communication skills for customer and crew coordination

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to a wide range of commercial door and gate systems
  • Experience supervising or coordinating small field crews
  • End-to-end estimating or quoting responsibility
  • Familiarity with ADA compliance, fire-rated assemblies, and safety standards
  • Experience in high-volume commercial service environments (facilities, HVAC, industrial service, etc.)
  • Familiarity with vendors and parts sourcing workflows
  • Prior experience with commercial door companies or similar service contractors
