Maintenance Supervisor (Manufacturing) | Hands-On | Equipment Reliability
Job Summary
We are hiring a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment. This role focuses on equipment reliability, downtime reduction, and preventive maintenance execution while directly supervising technicians.
Ideal for a Lead Maintenance Technician ready to step up or an experienced supervisor who thrives in a working leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, and coach a team of Maintenance Technicians
- Plan and prioritize preventive & predictive maintenance (PM/PdM)
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and valves
- Reduce downtime through root cause analysis & reliability improvements
- Manage CMMS work orders, maintenance logs, and documentation
- Partner with production to meet daily output and uptime goals
- Support parts inventory, vendors, and facility maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience (7+ preferred)
- 2+ years of leadership (Supervisor, Lead Tech, Team Lead)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting (motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes)
- Experience in manufacturing/production environments
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, diagrams
Preferred Skills
- CMMS experience (work orders, maintenance tracking)
- Preventive/Predictive Maintenance program ownership
- Basic PLC troubleshooting
- Multi-trade skills (electrical, HVAC, compressors, welding)
- Experience in food manufacturing or small-to-mid-sized plants (10–150 employees)

- Hands-on leader who can both manage and fix equipment
- Experience supervising 3–12 technicians in multi-shift operations
- Stable work history (~3+ years average tenure preferred)
- Strong collaboration with production and operations teams
