Senior Civil Site Engineer - Section Head

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Civil Site Engineer - Section Head to drive strategic growth, manage multidisciplinary teams, and deliver outstanding civil site projects. In this leadership role, you will oversee project design, permitting, staff mentoring, and business development efforts, while maintaining high standards of technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the civil site engineering section in the Charleston office
• Develop and execute strategic growth plans in coordination with office managers and practice leaders
• Cultivate and maintain client relationships while pursuing new business opportunities
• Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources efficiently
• Oversee site development projects, including design, permitting, and technical delivery
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing ongoing performance feedback and development guidance
• Contribute to proposals and support business development initiatives
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff to ensure team excellence

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in site civil engineering
• Proven project management and business development experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
• Knowledge of the Charleston, SC market and regional site civil regulations
