The Certified Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Ensure all surgical equipment functions properly before and during operations.
- Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments, sponges, and other supplies.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and safety procedures.
- Support post-operative room clean-up and preparation for subsequent surgeries.
Requirements:
- Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
through the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- Please include your CST certification number and expiration date on your resume.
- Minimum 1 year of current CVOR Surgical Technician experience for CVOR roles.
- Minimum 2 years of Certified Surgical Technologist experience in the Main OR; Orthopedic experience preferred.
- Must provide an updated and accurate resume, including job history dates and units worked in.
