About Us

We are a well-established Wealth Management and Financial Planning firm serving the Buffalo Grove & Chicago, IL area for 20+ years. With approximately $350M AUM and 700+ families served, we are growing and seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join our team as a Lead Planner / Service Advisor.

This is primarily a client-facing, non-sales Financial Advisor role focused on holistic financial planning, retirement planning, and ongoing client service within a collaborative team structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned wealth management clients
  • Develop and present comprehensive financial and retirement income plans
  • Conduct portfolio reviews, asset allocation analysis, and investment summaries
  • Utilize financial planning and tax software for strategy modeling
  • Analyze annuities, life insurance, and long-term care (LTC) options
  • Conduct client review meetings and proactive outreach
  • Support Lead Advisors with case analysis and planning strategies
  • Identify additional planning and asset consolidation opportunities

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

  • 3+ years of experience working directly with clients as a Financial Planner
  • Series 65 or Series 66 License (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Accredited University)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Must relocate to / work in Buffalo Grove, IL

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) designation (or obtain within 2 years)
  • Life Insurance License (or obtain within 6 months)
