Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Manufacturing Production Supervisor to lead a production team and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for meeting daily production targets while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational discipline, and a hands-on approach to managing people, processes, and production performance.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Lead a strong safety culture where employees work safely and follow all HSE requirements
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across assigned areas
- Conduct and support hazard assessments, safety walks, Layered Process Audits (LPA), and incident investigations
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for safety incidents
Production & Operations
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily production activities to meet manufacturing schedules and customer requirements
- Ensure all products are built according to specifications and production plans
- Monitor production performance and maintain accurate reporting and documentation
- Manage shift schedules, breaks, overtime, vacation coverage, and workforce allocation
Quality Management
- Ensure adherence to quality systems, procedures, and process controls
- Support inspection and compliance with customer and internal quality standards
- Identify and resolve quality deviations in coordination with relevant teams
Team Leadership & Development
- Build a respectful, safe, and inclusive work environment that empowers employees
- Train, coach, and develop team members and supervisors to meet job expectations
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and manage disciplinary actions when required
- Lead effective shift handovers and team communication meetings
Continuous Improvement
- Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities on the shop floor
- Collaborate with Continuous Improvement (CI) teams to implement approved improvements
- Support 6S/5S activities and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Participate in daily walkthroughs and cross-functional production meetings
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (4-year) OR 2-year degree with progression toward a 4-year degree plus 2–4 years of supervisory experience, OR 3+ years of hands-on supervisory/management experience
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production systems
- Ability to analyze production data and resolve operational/technical issues
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, reporting/documentation systems)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive workplace matters professionally
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites or customer locations as required
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility with the required use of PPE
- Office-based administrative responsibilities combined with regular shop-floor presence
- May involve exposure to operational equipment and production environments requiring safety compliance
