Senior Electrical Engineer – Power & Industrial Systems (Pittsburgh, PA, Relocation OK/TX)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and implementation of electrical systems for pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. You'll integrate automation, energy storage, and real-time monitoring to improve efficiency, ensure safety, and drive operational excellence. This role combines technical expertise, project leadership, and problem-solving for high-impact infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize electrical systems and power distribution networks.
  • Integrate advanced technologies: PLCs, HMI, automation, energy storage, and monitoring systems.
  • Conduct arc flash studies, implement safety mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage projects from concept to completion: timelines, budgets, and quality control.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster technical growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Oversee procurement of electrical equipment and manage vendor relationships.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical systems (preferred).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) OR Engineering Technology with P.E. license.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering for natural gas, data centers, or industrial facilities.
  • Expertise in power distribution, high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear.
  • Proficiency in ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety and arc flash mitigation.

Preferred:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with instrumentation systems, PLC/HMI design, Pre-FEED/FEED/EPC projects, and project management
