DeltaV Engineer – Life Sciences Automation | Kalamazoo, MI
Location: Kalamazoo, MI (Onsite, up to 25% travel)
Salary: $105K–$145K + uncapped bonus

About the Role:
We are seeking a DeltaV Engineer to design, configure, and implement Emerson DeltaV automation systems for regulated Life Sciences manufacturing. This role offers hands-on opportunities in system integration, batch processing, and regulatory-compliant automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and implement Emerson DeltaV control systems and ISA-88 batch processes
- Engineer system architecture, HMI, historian, and control strategies
- Ensure compliance with GAMP5, cGMP, and 21 CFR Part 11
- Conduct FAT/SAT, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical growth
- Travel up to 25% for on-site commissioning
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Electrical, Control Systems, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 3–7 years of hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV systems and PLC integration
- Expertise in ISA-88 batch processes and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, HART, Foundation Fieldbus)
- Experience in Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of historian systems, alarm management, and advanced control strategies
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation, Siemens PCS7, or other DCS/SCADA systems
- AutoCAD and electrical design experience
- Mentoring and translating functional specs into software design
