Senior Project Scheduler – Construction Projects (Primavera P6 Expert)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Scheduler to lead scheduling for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate has advanced expertise in Primavera P6, a strong understanding of construction sequencing and project controls, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. This role involves schedule development, analysis, reporting, and mentorship of junior schedulers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Perform critical path analysis, progress tracking, forecasting, and variance reporting
  • Analyze schedule impacts due to scope changes, design updates, or construction conditions
  • Prepare and present schedule dashboards, recovery plans, and reports for leadership
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings and resolve scheduling conflicts across teams
  • Support change management, claims analysis, and time impact assessments
  • Mentor junior schedulers and provide scheduling best practices guidance
  • Proactively identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of project scheduling experience on large-scale construction projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
  • Experience with Power BI for reporting and dashboards
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, work packaging, and project controls
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to influence and lead discussions without direct authority
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in mega-projects, EPC, or multi-phase construction programs
  • Knowledge of cost controls, earned value management (EVM), and risk analysis
  • Leadership or mentorship experience
  • Familiarity with contract scheduling requirements, delays, and claims support
  • Professional certifications: PMP, PSP, or PMI-SP
