We are seeking an experienced and passionate SysOps Lead who is proficient in Cloud computing, system design and management, and DevOps methodologies. As a SysOps Lead, you will manage and oversee the entire SysOps team across Europe, ensuring that the team adheres to best practices, while driving high-quality outcomes in the management of our Cloud infrastructure. This role demands strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to make high-level decisions while ensuring the continuous evolution of the infrastructure.
Prerequisites:
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a SysOps Engineer or in a similar role
Proficient in AWS
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Polish nationality required
AWS certification required
Access to a co-working space or comfortable with full-time remote work
Ability to adjust to local working hours
Your missions:
Lead and manage the entire SysOps team across Europe, ensuring effective collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement
Build, deploy, manage, and evolve Cloud computing infrastructure in line with organizational needs
Define standards and best practices within the SysOps domain and ensure the team adheres to them
Collaborate with various teams (Development, Security, Operations) to ensure best practices in system design, deployment, and management
Ensure the reliability, flexibility, scalability, and security of maintained platforms
Oversee and contribute to the prevention and investigation of production issues
Foster innovation within the team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Monitor and improve system performance, availability, and security across the infrastructure
Lead regular cross-team communication and performance reviews, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Required skills:
Expertise in Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.)
Advanced proficiency in Docker
Strong programming experience, ideally in Python
Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaaC), with a preference for CloudFormation
Proficient in CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitLab, Jenkins)
Expert in Linux systems, with a preference for Amazon Linux or similar
Solid knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB
Expertise in log management with tools like Elasticsearch, FluentBit, Fluentd, or Logstash
Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud computing models
Strong knowledge of security standards and best practices, with modern methods of authentication and authorization
Soft skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities to guide a distributed team across Europe
Independent, self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and passion for problem-solving
Proficiency in English is essential for international collaboration
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a plus
Experience working within an international, remote team environment is preferred
