Position Overview
We are seeking a Microsoft Data Ecosystem Administrator to manage and optimize our SQL Server databases and Power BI Report Server infrastructure, ensuring reliable data services and business intelligence capabilities for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
SQL Server Administration
Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances across multiple environments
Manage database performance tuning, backup/recovery strategies, and high availability solutions
Implement security policies, user management, and compliance monitoring
Perform capacity planning and disaster recovery procedures
Power BI Report Server Administration
Deploy and maintain Power BI Report Server instances and configurations
Manage report deployment, data sources, and user access permissions
Monitor report performance and optimize server resources
Configure automated report distribution and subscription services
Data Management & Integration
Design and maintain SSIS packages for data extraction and transformation
Monitor data quality and implement validation procedures
Coordinate with business users on reporting requirements and data modeling
Maintain documentation and change management processes
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
5+ years SQL Server administration experience (2016/2019/2022)
3+ years Power BI Report Server/SSRS administration experience
Strong T-SQL programming and database design skills
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
Experience with backup/recovery, high availability, and performance tuning
Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory integration
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Microsoft certifications (Azure Database Administrator, Data Analyst Associate)
Experience with cloud data services (Azure SQL, Power BI Service)
SSIS and data warehousing experience
Business intelligence and data visualization background
